Nov-Dec 2016 Prayer Letter
Dear family and friends,
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17
We are praying that the Lord would keep us focused on Him with joy and gratitude during this holiday season. He is the source of all goodness we experience in our lives. We indeed have much to be grateful to Him for!
As we write this letter, we are enjoying the arrival of our precious baby boy, Isaac Joseph Pillman. We are thankful for how well the labor went and that Isaac and Tricia are doing really well now. Justo has now started the necessary paperwork for all of the documentation (such as birth certificates, passports, etc.) so that we can leave for furlough as planned at the end of next February.
The months of September and October were full months of ministry for us. Justo has a busy weekly schedule, which started in September, and had many weekend ministry events as well. One of these events was hiking a tall mountain with the Bible school gals and several men from the church that Justo has worked with recently. Another event was a camping trip with young teens in the church. These events (along with others) opened up more relationship-building opportunities.
Tricia was also able to be directly involved in ministry for a season as she prepared and taught four classes on literature appreciation and writing. The class was directed towards homeschool parents, but others from the church attended as well. She received good feedback from these classes, and we pray that the concepts she taught will help these parents raise more equipped and capable young people.
The church is now gearing up for Advent season and we look forward to all the festivities with the church family as well as cherishing some special time with our own growing family.
Much love from our family to yours!
- Praise for the good times of fellowship and study we are having with our couples group.
- Praise that Tricia didn’t go into labor too early, as this was a concern, and that the labor went well.
- Praise for Jenaya’s help during this time!
- Pray for a good recovery for Tricia after labor and good adjustment for all.
- Pray that the paperwork process to get all of the baby’s documents would go smoothly.
- Pray for faithfulness and continued growth in our young couples’ cell group.
